Alexandra Bakalaki

Associate Professor, Folklore and Social Anthropology, AUTH. Born in Thessaloniki in 1953, she studied sociology in the University of Indiana. PhD 1984, University of New York at Buffalo. Teaching staff, Dept. of Social Anthropology of the University of the Aegean (1987-2000). She has published two books and many articles and has led the EU co-funded project 'Island Cultures in a Diachronic Perspective: the case of Therasia'.
