Born in Piraeus (1965) he studied Classics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (BA 1987, PhD 1996), where he is teaching as Assistant Professor of Latin Literature, Dept. of Classics (since Sept. 2006). His research interests include Hellenistic and Augustan Poetry (especially the intertextual dialogue between them), Callimachus, epyllion, translation in Latin Literature, Roman prayer, and teaching of Classics. He has published two books, several articles and has been involved in the students' manual: Θέματα λατινικής γλώσσας και ρωμαϊκού πολιτισμού. Ανθολόγιο κειμένων για την ύστερη respublica.
