I am an archaeobotanist specialized in the analysis and interpretation of wood charcoal (anthracological) remains. My research interests are archaeobotany, vegetation history, woodland management by the prehistoric societies and the formation of the anthropogenic landscapes. Early Prehistory in Greece has been the main focus of my research and I have collaborated with several projects and institutions for the study of anthracological remains from Palaeolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic sites. As a postdoctoral researcher of the PLANTCULT project I hope I can extend my expertise to the Aegean Bronze Age and historical periods, in particular regarding the effect of urbanization on the natural environment and the management of resources.
