As an environmental archaeologist I am interested in changing human-environment relationships shaped by climate, cash cropping and the expansion of intensive agricultural production into semiarid regions. I use microbotanical analysis to investigate ancient agricultural and pastoral economies.
As a Postdoctoral Research Assistant (PLANTCULT) I will conduct sampling and analysis of phytoliths and starch remains extracted from experimental and archaeological grinding tools.
